Atlantic Coastal was formed in 1981 as
a full service, general title insurance
company headquartered in Vero Beach.
The company currently
provides quality title products, title
insurance, and closing services to a
large group of clients, covering
the entire State of Florida. Our customers include the
general public, title insurance underwriters,
corporate agents,
law firms, governmental agencies, engineering
firms, mortgage brokers, and lending

own title research and examinations,
along with the resources to conduct
closing services in all of Florida's 67
counties - anyplace, and anytime. Our turn around time and
customer service is reliable, accurate,
and unparalleled, making smoother
closings a reality. Our

professionals is fully aware of current
industry standards, enabling us to
handle any real estate transaction. We
are confident that you will benefit from
working with us, and if you are a
business client, we are sure your
customers will appreciate our
professionalism and eagerness to assist
them as well.
Leonard "Len"
L. Spangler, Jr.
Atlantic Coastal was formed in 1981 by
legendary Florida title man, Len
Spangler. Len spent over 35 years
providing professionalism and excellence
to the title insurance industry, and in
1999 received the distinguished Raymond
O. Denham Memorial Award for outstanding
service to the Florida Land Title
Association, the Public, and to the
title industry. Len was well known for his
innovative and unique approaches to
solving some of the most common problems
and issues
faced by the title insurance industry.
Len served as a Zone Vice President and
Director of
the Florida Land Title Association, and
served on numerous committees related to
legislative matters while active in the
Association. Prior to forming Atlantic
Coastal, Len served as County Manager
and Assistant Vice President for
Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation in
South Florida. Mr. Spangler was a
mentor, friend, and leader to many in
the industry, and his presence has been
dearly missed. Len served in the U.S.
Army Signal Corp. from 1955 to 1956.
From 1956 to 1963, Len served as a
communications/intelligence analyst for
the Air Force, serving tours of duty in Germany,
the Middle East, and England; honorably
discharged as a Staff Sergeant. Len's
accomplishments were not restricted to
his career, but were evident in his
personal life as well. He was a skilled
craftsman, writer, and boat captain. Len
spent several years, along with his
family, navigating and charting the
waters of the Bahamas and Florida Keys,
ultimately compiling popular and
sought after cruising guides to the
Bahamas/Abacos, and the Florida Keys. Len is survived by his wife,
Virginia "Jenny" Spangler, who is the
current owner and President of Atlantic
Coastal.
